Who are to say we shouldn't haha.

Actually Jesus was born in April according the the BBC.

The Romans made Dec. 25 Christmas to replace a pagan celebration of sun worship.

I don't see anything wrong with that. One good thing about Christianity is that it didn't completely wipe out the cultures from before it came. Like dying eggs and the Easter Bunny. I don't think God thinks that's wrong.

Anyway, it's more tradition than anything. What's the point in undoing 1700 years of using it to celebrate the birth of Christ. People are insane!!!

OMG!! Did you REALLY think this is the first time anyone ever said this? I mean honestly??? Every single day, Christmas or not, this question is asked and asked and asked. Christians do NOT (repeat) do NOT believe Jesus was really born on Dec 25, Christian DO KNOW that it is the day of the pagan sun god, Christians DONT CARE about the sun god. Since NO ONE KNOWS what day Jesus was born, we choose to celebrate His birth on this day... ok now, tell all your friends they dont need to ask this question.

actually it is more recognized that Jesus was about 6 months old if not older cause of the Jewish Tax time in that era was actually in the late spring to early summer depending on which part of Isreal u lived in. So the actual date of Dec. 25 is more recognized more so as the day tht the three wise men finally made it to Bethalham and actually present the gifts to Jesus.

Why do you rejoice Christmas on the twenty 5th December? it particularly is a pagan holiday... Christ became in all probability born in the spring sometime. Christians rejoice on Dec. twenty 5th by using fact they opposite engineered a pagan holiday and a few of its traditions and blended it with Christian traditions and suggested because it Jesus's birthday.

So what? I don't praise any sun God. I don't worship Christmas trees or reindeer. And Santa Clause is based off a real person, so who cares about Saturnalia?

actually, it was a ROMAN holiday and it lasted for a whole week. but nobody knows when Jesus was born so this day is as good as any, since we know it was after the harvest was in and the nights were cold and long

It doesn't matter what day it was. No one knows.

Many religious holidays are crossovers with non religious celebrations. Like the Christmas tree for instance.
