You categorized your question obviously wrong. Are you questioning yourself perhaps? I will tell you what I did when I found out that my son is gay. I told him I love him and accept him no matter what. No need for violence or the use of a stick as you put it, or a shrink.

I would accept it because he is my son and no matter what decisions he were to make I would always love him. I might not approve of his decision but that would never change the love I have for my son.

I would accept it. Parental love is unconditional. I'm sure he doesn't approve of everything I've done/do in my life so how can I judge him. I would love my son regardless of what sexuallity he should turn out to be.

c- I would accept it because that is your son regardless if you dont agree with his lifestyle. Secondly life is too short. You need to go on and enjoy ya life. because one day your here and the next day you are gone. Just be happy that you know, because alot of parents dont know that about their child. the child keep it a secret. And lastly accept it because if you don't your child may not want to be a part of your life no more. He may feel that you dont love him and is ashamed of him.And what parent wants that?
