There's thousands of good wines out there and will take me a few hours to explain you what you have to consider when you buy the perfect one. This is as difficult as buying a painting. Anyway, try the 1996 Samos Muscat. It's a medium-sweet white wine originating from Greece. This wine is a light gold color in the glass with hints of brown and has a honeyed nose of candied lychee fruit, a scent which becomes the dominant flavor of the wine.

It depends on what price range and what kind she likes, there are many different varieties of white and red. Wine can get expensive. If you looking for a gift, the caopla wines are good, about $15.00 a bottle, you could do a gift pack of these. Most liquor stores that have a large wine dept. will be more than happy to give you good advice. good luck.

There is a good Australian wine named Dutschke Wine. You can find out all about it by just doing a search on its name. I think it is only available through Segils.

The Francis Ford Coppola Merlot or Chardonnay are both moderately inexpensive, excellent wines.

This is a surprising one. At least it was for me.

Cranelake Cabernet sauvignon. It's very inexpensive but taste like a much more expensive bottle of wine. It's what my wife and I drink now, and we've had some nice bottles in our lives. Pour her a glass. Don't tell her what it is. She what she thinks.

Blue Non a german white Rhine wine (fruity and light, serve chilled)
Chilian red wines are very good .
But nothing beats South African smokey wines (they do not have bad years over there)

If she likes red, Spottswood has some awesome cabernets, but they're expensive.

Usually anything from Kenwood is good, they've got some Jack London reds that have interesting bottles for gifts.

Anything from Ferrari Carrano is great.

"Mountain Rhine Wine" by Almaden or Paul Masson's Chardonnay. Both are inexpensive but sweet tasting.

Try Rosemount Estates, Cabernet Savignon or their Shiraz. Any of the Australian wines are very good if she likes white.
