To honour Jesus, the Most compassionate One,wouldn't it be nice to have a nice compassionate feast on His birthday?

You may have veg-turkeys,though!

Jesus tought love to all creatures not the cruelty to animals.
In true sense, if you really love / have faith in Jesus, you should give up non-veg for ever, not only on His birthday.

Think, what are you eating, what are its sources and how it is obtained? Think, if you are the same creature, how would you have felt being chopped into pcs.???

It almost is already.

At a typical Christmas Dinner, there are about 18 different food entries (entrees). 17 of which are usually vegetarian.

Snacks: No meat in cookies, or rum cake, or dips, or english puddings. .... or candy canes, or whatever.

I notice these kind of things because I am a Vegetarian. I enjoy Christmas dinners, .... and, I don't get arthritis or hemmoroids from the meat entries.

.
PS: Jesus told the Essenians to kill neither man nor beast. He went on to tell them that "meat" is dead food, and that it would cause diseases.

Of course, that verse didn't make it into the official Bible of the 3rd century. I wonder why?
............

OH, I see the light (Thanks to Father K): Peter said he dreamed about it and he, Peter, is now counter-manding Jesus. Just who does the Catholic Church follow?

Was Peter at a Beef Master convention when he announced his dream about. "And now its ok to kill and eat beasts."????

It is a personal choice.

Christmas Eve is traditonally the holiest night of Advent. That is when some cultures require the people to not eat meat, just seafood based dishes.

Um no. I like to have my turkey, ham , or shrimp meal. It's tradition and I need my protein. I already have enough trouble getting in the amount of protein daily as it is...hard to find it in small enough portions for a 3 ounce pouch.

Jesus was not a vegetarian, and Christians are not required to be vegetarians. Although, that's not saying that there is anything wrong with being a vegetarian.

Yeah, I like vegetarian. Turkey is stupid and I usually drop it behind the oven or something.
