i'd make sure its a very clean window to allow positive chi, and if possible, hang straight, long curtains and a crystal to attract the good energy

Sitting with your back toward the window is not as bad as it's portrayed to be.

The real and no BS traditional Feng Shui system will not judge such a setup to be good or bad without calculating the 'chart' of flow - the "Flying Stars Configuration Table" which serves as a basic configuration tool just like the multiplication table in Math. But don't let this confuse you more either.

The authethic way - the true way, that is - to conduct accurate Feng Shui survey is to employ the careful study of the physical environment together with the precise configuration using the "Flying Star Table" to come up with a list of suggestions for the whole environment setup, any one part of which will be very important and has to be carried out as an integral part of the whole plan.

But it's sad that most of the information out there is given in a "The blind leading the blind" way and barely touches upon this essential bit.

So what to do?

Don't worry too much about this one aspect of the whole setup since you can't do too much about it. And afterall, this is but just one aspect of the whole working environment that you are going to be in - getting too concerned about this one little aspect won't get your anywhere.

If you want to really correct the Feng Shui setup of the whole environment, it's close to being impossible unless the big boss says so - doing that will involve whole lot more than you can imagine.

And nine out of ten times you'd be fine too sitting with your back toward the window because this is considered as a very minor thing.

"Take care of the most important things first and then don't sweat the small stuffs." And this window thing is...small stuff.

Hope this helps.

The window shouldn't give bad energy. Maybe your back is to a door? If it does, mirrors reflect both good and bad energy, so I agree with someone earlier about using a mirror.

It's not scientifically proven, but science doesn't know how birds migrate either; so I say it can't do any harm to try.

bad energy? where did you get the idea, that a window behind your desk gives you bad energy??? this is a total bogus! i think you got it all wrong. a solid is preferable, because the wall at your back "support" you when making decisions, as opposed to a window, which does not support your decisions. meaning when you have a window behind your desk, it only means that your decisions are influenced by others. that's it. no bad energy!
