well, I started talking to this girl about a month and a half ago that I met through a mutual friend back at home. We're both in school but I'm out of state. I think we've really hit it off and everything seems to be going well, but my question is: is it normal to nearly stop eating at all because of anticipation of getting back to someone? I've had some relationships before but they never really worked out and this has never happened. It's also my first year away from home but that hasn't been an issue with it. I'm going back home Monday I'm a little bit worried but I don't think I'm too badly off yet but thinking about food just makes me feel sick.

Maybe you're just overly...anxious to see her again? or...maybe you're just so nervous and like her so much you feel intimidated?
Maybe you're scared because you don't know what to expect when you see her again?

I think it's because you think that it's going very well, and that is why you feel this way. All these feelings, are new to you. Even though you've had past relationships, perhaps, this one is different and you have a little of every emotions because you don't know what to think, how to feel, what to expect, what will happen, what will she says, what if it doesn't turn out right, what if this...what if that.

Loss of appetite is not a concern. But begin to worry if you start looking like the olsen twins...

It's just fear and your nervous getting the best of you. Certain times I get that way, or I go the complete opposite and binge. But, its probably a combination of everything. Not knowing what to expect when you get home, and with the new girl. Just give it time, and try to eat a little bit of something. Some weeks I'll only eat once or twice. Maybe it's common amongst students, but I try to force myself to eat something at least.

It does everybody different but I can relate. When I see a truck that is roughly the same color as my Sweetie's, my heart leaps up into my throat and I can't breathe. And I am an old cynical 50 year old... that is about the sweetest question I have ever seen. But you have to eat, Sugar. Have ypou ever heard the expression, "You can't live on love"? You made my day by reminding me of that!

i think its definately a sign of stress or anxiety. hopefully when you get home your mother will see how famished you are and provide you with some good old home cooking. if not then maybe you and your girl will go out to dinner or get something to eat together.

The good news....your NOT gonna die...your in love....the bad news ?..it gets worse....lol. Loss of appetite can be attributed to worry over love and relationship. Be cool and it will all work out.

maybe you're just too excited to get back home to see her....also, probably it's because you're always thinking about her....your focus is on her alone and you're putting aside the things that you need to do....thinking about her makes you full and this, according to many, is a sign that you truly are inlove.
