Since you asked, my opinion is that being evil is a state or condition. Meaning a person either is evil or they are not. My definition of evil is selfishness, plain and simple. Now this may at first seem ridiculous, but if you think about it, all evil deeds spring from a selfish desire. A person's degree of selfishness is what varies. So, a person is either evil or they are not, and then if they are evil, then they are selfish to at least a small degree. Of course, it also my opinion that ALL people are evil. That means me, all other chrisitans, Billy Graham, Mother Teresa, Jerry Falwell, Jay Leno, and Larry Flynt. My faith, to me, means that I act selflessly and put others before myself. If one could always care more for the needs of others more than their own, then we would have the world we all want.

you actually are a heretic.
A heathen has never heard of God at all
A heretic has, but rejects and argufies (I know that's not a real word, but it sound right)
A fallen away Catholic is another condition, sometimes just drifting away for no apparent reason.
God can read hearts, I can't. If I could, I don't think that I would want to, however, you seem to want someone here to tell you right from wrong. We all want to be loved and accepted for who we are, no matter what we do. Do your best with what you have. Try to improve (everyone has room for improvement) and don't condemn another nor hold a grudge. A grudge is a death sentence. Also, don't get caught up in the world. You know: blingbling and all that.

As a Pagan Priest it is not in me to call you evil for simply living your life the only way that you know how to do so. everyone gets what they need out of our time here on this planet, and some come back for a second or 102nd go at it.
enjoy your life, (keep up with the not hurting people thing though)
you will be further along than many of us at the end of it.

You don't believe in God (I'm guessing the Christian god) but you believe in sin and calling yourself a heathen?
Ask yourself if you are an immoral person. Have you done any extreme immoral thing?
I believe TRULY evil people do not even fathom that they may be or are evil. So.. if you ask if you are, I believe the chances are you're not.

Dustin your question suggests you want an answer. The answer is not found in books, it is not found in church, it is not found on Yahoo answers although each of these may be of some service to you.
Ask that which is within that you have heard but do not know yet. Seek in yourself and you will find.

When you say "sin", you mean... like... dishonoring your mother and father and not keeping the sabbath holy and coveting, stuff like that, yes? Because if you "sin" by habitually lying and stealing, that's bad.

No, you're not evil. If you want to pound people in the ground or crack people's heads in, then you're getting there.
