1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
1/2 pkg. taco mix
1 (6 oz.) carton avocado dip
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can ripe olives, chopped
2 lg. tomatoes, chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) monterey jack cheese

Combine beans and taco mix. Spread into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Layer the remaining ingredients in the order they are listed. Cover and chill overnight. Serve with nacho bites or taco chips.

Combine beans and seasoning mix; spread bean mixture in a 12 x 8 dish. Layer remaining ingredients in order listed. Serve with corn ships.

* 1 pound lean ground beef
* 1 medium onion, finely chopped
* 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
* 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
* 3/4 cup thick taco sauce
* 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
* 1 cup sour cream
* 1/4 cup chopped green onion
* 1/4 cup chopped black olives
* Tortilla chips

1. Crumble and brown ground beef in skillet with onion for 8 to 10 minutes, or until beef is no longer pink. Drain fat and rinse, if desired.
2. Spread beans in thin layer in 9" x 13" baking dish. Combine beef, onion and chilies and place on bean layer. Drizzle with taco sauce. Bake, uncovered at 400° F for 20 minutes. Top with grated cheese, dollop with sour cream, and sprinkle with green onions and black olives. Serve hot as a dip with plenty of tortilla chips.

I make a great tex mix dip for parties.

First, I spread out refried beans (one can).

Then a layer of mashed avocado (salt/pepper to taste, some lime juice).

Third, a layer of sour cream mixed with a taco seasoning mix.

Last, chopped green onions, tomatoes, and shredded cheeze!

Party pleaser!

Bean Dip: Spread 8oz. package of cream cheese on the bottom of a 10" pie plate. Top with any brand canned chili with beans and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Nuke until bubbly and serve with *scoop* shape tortilla chips. Enjoy!

Yield: 12 Servings

Ingredients

1 cn fritos jalapena bean dip

-----------------------------COMBINE-----------------------------------
3 avocados; mashed
1 ts lemon juice
1 garlic salt to taste

-----------------------------COMBINE-----------------------------------
8 oz sour cream; mixed with
1/2 pk lawrys taco mix
5 green onions; chopped
2 md tomatoes; chopped
1 cn (small) sliced ripe olives
2 c shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

I suggest shredding cheese first and putting in refrigerator until needed-
easier to work with. Refrigerate, covered with Saran wrap, for 24 hrs. for
flavors to blend.
