you can purchase a little tool at any beauty supply store made specifically for that purpose. they don't cost more than a few dollars. Easiest way is to soak your feet for a few minutes to soften the callous, then file away. If the callouses are heavy it will take more than one time to get rid of them--put lotion on your feet and keep at it a couple of times a month so the buildup doesn't get bad again. You--and whoever happens to touch your feet will be glad you did the work!

Don't use any kind of razor or callus shaver on your feet. Any rough areas will come back worse and it is dangerous.

Many people get pedicures at salons, but I don't do it and don't recommend it because of all of the stories I've hears about bacteria, fungus, etc.

I use a pumice stone every couple of day and also put the ointment Kerasal on my feet every night before I go to bed. It's good stuff, but you have to be diligent about it.

what i do is soak my feet in warm water with a little bit of milk for about 15-20 minutes - the milk helps soften your feet. then, use a pumice stone to scrape off any "crust" or dead skin. then, use a foot scrub to wash/scrub your feet, soak again, and use a lotion. then, put on a pair of socks and keep them on all day, go to sleep with them on, and when you wak up in the morning, your feet will be very soft.

There is a product called callus eliminator by BeNatural. You soak your feet for a few minutes, apply the product, let it set for 3-5 mins. and then use a foot file to buff away dead skin. It is amazing how the dead skin comes right off. Here is where you can buy it online:

Go to a Nail Salon and get a pedicure. They'll soak, scrub, massage and scrape it all off. Most small neigbhorhood nail salons will offer a pedicure for around $15-20 USD.
