What's it like and has it significantly improved your life?

When I was a teenager, my relationship with my brother & sister was not that great. My sister & I fought all the time (she's two years younger)... my brother & I had nothing in common & just pretty much ignored each other. As we got older, we began to lean on one another more often & I now have very good relationships with both of them. To me, they are the best friends I will ever have --- they were brought up the same way I was, we have a common thread & they understand me and my crazy issues more than anyone in the world.

Yes dear friend I do, and I am very proud of it. To tell you the truth when you have lots of relatives and siblings to be around all the time, you will realise that some are definitely going to be more popular to you than others. It is not wrong. Just do not end up hurting the ones you do not like so much. If you have less, well there is no point in hating some and liking some. They are all you have got. So, yes, your life will significantly improve because remember you grow amidst society, people and culture not in a lone island as in Robinson Crusoe.

No. I have a large family, but I do'nt feel I'm close with hardly any of them if any at all. Though we talk and laugh on occasion, I still feel they are much needier than anyone should and selfish as well. Though everyone can be, my family takes advantage of everyone willing to help to the point they leave. It really embaresses me and makes me angry because I'm one the ones they take advantage of. I wish I could just hang out with them without being asked for something or to do something for them. Worst, when I do tell them how I feel, most of them tell me I'm just whining and need to be there for the family. Then I feel guilty and give them what they want.

I have always been really close to my dad, and over the past few years I've gotten closer with my younger brother. About those relationships, yes it has improved my life, especially my relationship with my dad, because he has taught me how to be a good husband and father.

I have 5 brothers and we all are close . My Mom and I spend at least one day a week together and My Dad is no longer with us .
It is great to have the family closeness , it reinforces who we are .
Oh I should say I'm the oldest kid and I'm 52 !

I use to be really distant with my brother but for about half a year we have gotten really close. We confide a lot of stuff to each other and it's nice to have that.
