We all believe in God (Catholics and Protestants) Probably 99% of the "others" you hear about are sub-divisions which fall under these two catagories. Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox are types of Catholic churches. Wesleyan, Baptist, Reformed, Lutheran are examples of Protestant denominations. You can look up the history of each individual denomination for yourself.
For instance, I was raised in the Christian Reformed Church (thats Protestant), my wife was raised Catholic. We were married in a Reformed Church which, honestly, is no different than Christian Reformed other than that the C.R.C. is a little more strict with its Sunday do's and don't practices. Now, when our old minister moved out of state, many of our friends at church, including ourselves weren't real crazy about the new minister and switched churches. We now attend a Baptist church because we like its services and the programs it has for our kids.
My point: Every church I've ever attended believes in the same true God and believes that Christ died to forgive the world of its sins so that all of us may be saved from hell if we believe and live lives of gratitude for this incredible gift.
You've got several places to shop for groceries right? I like where I go for the self check out and 10/$10 sales each month. You like yours for other reasons. The fact is, they all sell groceries. O.K. that may be over-simplifying it, but it's the best I could come up with.

I hear ya .bro!! I am a Baptist, but I have a lot of respect for some Presbyterians and some other denominations.
Would you like to know something interesting? When Rev. Billy Graham (or his son Franklin) holds a meeting somewhere, they often have a lot of Churches from a lot of denominations (in the particular area they happen to be in) working together and praying together for a common goal.....
All the Protestant people i know all believe in the God of Abraham.Isaac, and Jacob.......

It is dependent when you incorporate the early church, there have been particularly a couple of Christian businesses again then which could now not be regarded Christian in the event that they sprang up in these days (The Gnostic cosmology used to be greatly distinctive on how they considered the god of Abraham). Most could consider Jesus as "'son' of 'god'" and 'messiah', however alternatively, there is a few at the edges that do not. The resurrection could also be an highly ordinary perception. Virgin Birth is not that most important. And what "long-established sin" manner varies a exceptional deal. It's a complex taxonomy. It's like looking to say what is in ordinary among an Reform Judaism, Orthodox Judaism, and Judaism as practiced earlier than King Josiah. If I needed to placed it into phrases, I'd say that all of them think that Jesus, a Jewish dude who lived in first century Levant, used to be uniquely most important, divinely so, in forgiving mankind in their incorrect nature. I suppose that covers even the early gnostics. Oh, additionally he received carried out through the federal government, undesrvingly so.

We can decide what is right among ourselves; you are simply making the error of placing us all under the category of "Christian," when the proper categorization would be by each denomination. Personally, I consider myself a Protestant with a non-denominational outlook on the Bible and faith. There is always disagreement among congregations of any ideology or agenda. Without disagreement, we wouldn't believe anything. And that brings us to you.

Well, the Orthodox and the Catholics (the actual old churches) agree almost completely. The others wanted it their own way, and outside the system.
How is that for an answer?

Interesting, isn't it -- how so many think they know Better than God what He means by what He says in His own book! If you had several secretaries help you to write & make copies of a book you wrote, how would you feel about others who claim to be working for you --but who actually have their own agendas-- teaching their own, innaccurate, twists on what you said ... making you out to be inconsistent, hateful, and cruel -- even twisting your advise to everyone, and also changing the history & purpose of your own son's life? Why is this done? Power, Glory, Fame, Money. Jesus himself warns about such ones in the Bible. He also indicates that there would be his true followers, even so, and that these wouyld have No denomintaions or sects. They would be united in their understanding of what God Himself says, without adding to, or taking away, or twisting it. I invite you to compare the divisions in Christendom with the current congregation of God's people, earth wide:

Those who are Christians accept Bible teachings, rather than try to make it appear that they support their own agendas. They make necessary changes in their own lives to conform their lives with Bible principles, instead of twisting Scriptures in attempts tomake it appear that they support what they want ...

I do not belong to a denomination. I belong to the one Church Jesus Christ founded for all mankind, 1,500 years before denominational religion came into existence. A denomination, by definition, is a body which separated itself from a pre-existing body, rejecting its former identity and former name. "Denomination" comes from the Latin phrase "de nomina", meaning "out of the name" or "away from the name". Catholicism therefore is not a "denomination".

I don't feel it is fair to group us all together. some have similar beliefs , but there are vast difference in christian faiths among the world. I am baptist , and I have worshiped in a Pentecostal church many times , I'm open to both views.

I am Jesus follower.. Jesus is not catholic, Lutheran,Presbyterian, Pentecostal, baptist, Orthodox or advent.. He was Jewish .. Born in Bethlehem.. His earthly parents were descendant of King David.. Died on the cross, shed His blood to purify, wash, cleans us from our sin. He rose again on the 3rd day.. He ascended to Heaven, and He will come back again the same way He ascended to Heaven..
