I practice yoga and i can tell u the remedy.
theres this position in Yoga called Shavasana (Corpse position) where you dont move at all an lie on your back like a corpse.
1. now, concentrate only on you breathing. think about air going in and out conciously
2. try not to think about anything else.
3. relax each and every part of your body conciously.
this will certainly help you in sleeping.
Apart from this, walk about a mile or spot-jog for 10 mins about half an hour before u hit the bed. eat ur meal at least 2 hrs before sleeping.

I doubt it. Maybe with a lot of meditation, or medication. Before you go to sleep you shouldn't do any activity that keeps your mind running on high speed. Try something soothing and relaxing before you sleep. You could be suffering from Delayed Circadian Rhythm Disorder...read more about it in the link I provided.

You can try some relaxation methods. . .like setting up a routine that you do every nite to get you in the mood to sleep. Take a nice, warm bubble bath and soak for awhile with candles. Do some light yoga exercises that limber you up for slumber, meditate for a few minutes and concentrate on every part of your body separately and give it permission to relax. . .do some research on other ways to increase peaceful sleep on some search engines like google.com or aj.com. . .

Just pop the pills and you'll be right out.
Chocolate milk can help but it's bad to drink milk
before you go to sleep. You could always knock
yourself over the head with something.

It would be nice if one could, but one cannot.
You can do things to make yourself more relaxed, as described above, or you can take sleeping pills (not recommended--if you do, start out with the over-the-counter pills before going to the prescriptions). But there's no way that one can will oneself to sleep.

I always try to meditate if I can't sleep. Clear my mind and try not to think of anything.
Also this relaxation technique:
exhale out all of the air you can, slowly fill your lungs will air until you can't hold anymore, then slowly exhale, slowly! It works for me.

I don't exactly do much. I just turn off the lights and close my eyes. Works perfectly for me.
