You can get one that goes around her body and he neck too, this is impossible to excape from, its called a harness vest....look at this website for an example, http://www.pawpalaceonline.com/designer-dog-clothes-harness-dog-clothes-c-1_77.html or a head harness, http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_2/102-3353600-2412904?ie=UTF8&rh=n%3A12923371%2Cn%3A12925321%2Cn%3A12925591%2Cn%3A12925631%2Cn%3A14095371&page=1

Here is one thing that you can try.

If you have an extra room in your house where you might be able to put a dog crate, put her in there, in a crate while you are sleeping or gone and close the door. That way, your other dogs can't get to her. My dog is in her crate when I go to work and when I go to bed, and she does just fine.

Also, if you have a garage or a shed where you might be able to put her while you're gone and at night, that could work too. Just put her food and water in there with her. She will be out of the wind and rain where its warm, and if its a garage or shed, it wont be much of a big deal if she does her business on the floor. That, and she still wont be able to get after your neighbor's garbage.

The reason your dog is finding ways to escape, is most likely because she would much rather be free and in her own space than tied up. Infact, that might even why she became a stray to begin with.

What kind dog Harness do you use? My harness works great. guess you do have a smart dog. Maybe you should try keeping your dog in the house where it is easy to clean, like the kitchen or bathroom with a gate locked. Then there is a neck collar, if your dog is so smart she will pull so hard and when she feels her throat against the collar, she'll stop. You can also put both on her, the harness (like the vest, where it's secure) and a collar to see how it works. you can also go to the pet store, here we have petsmart and petco with really nice staff. See, if someone will assist you. Good luck!

You shouldn't tie out dogs while unsupervised it creates strays if they get loose, could get tangled and injured...and can make the dog more aggressive for always being tied out. If you can't keep the dog in the house (have you considered a baby gate or closed doors to keep the dogs seperated??) or a secure yard/kennel you should find the dog a forever home that can.

Omg, you should *not* be leaving your dog outside while you are not home! Also, it should not being wearing any harness or collar that tight for very long!
If your dogs arnt getting along, and I hope you are doing somthing to solve this problem and not think that leaving him outside *is* the solution, you should be babygating them apart in the house, and puppy proof the rooms they have access to, OR consider doggie daycare! Your local animal hospital might offer it. The Vet I work for has doggie day for as little as $12 dollars a day from 7am to 7 pm. They are played with, and excersized, taken out to pee and poop, they are fed and also they get socialized with people and other dogs! This is a Much better solution to tying him outside!! Please re-consider!!

no. she wont stay in her harness cuz i had the SAME problem not mroe than 4 days ago. and when i tightened it as tight as it would go she still would get out of it. and after a while she had red marks in her arm pits and on her chest.
so when i talked to a friend he gave me the name of something else.
there is an item called a gentle lead. it goes over their nose and behind their head. it prevents them from pulling but i dont suggest them wearing it without supervision.
when i take my puppy out with it she struggles but she cant end up taking me for a walk like she normally does. she is deceptivly strong for her size.
let me give you the website for it.
do you intend to keep her outside with it or do you mean for walk?
try that and see if it meets your requirements.
i hope you find what your looking for and good luck!

I don't know about the harness but I do know that leaving your dog out in your backyard will certainly create an aggressive/protective/neurotic dog. Please consider crating your dog inside your house to 1. stop the escape artist behavior, and 2. to prevent your dog from freaking out in your yard.

If it doesn't get along with your dogs, rehome it. It is no life for a puppy being tied outside, it will most likely strangle itself.
