my neigbor is just nine and she got her period
but i think she flunk a grade

Well yes my friend works at the health department here in town and she has seen girls as young as 7 start their periods. Kids are staring to mature much faster these days WoW!!

Yes!!Too young,yeah I think so,too.My friend got her period when she was 9.Now she is much older and has a very large chest lol.With me,I didn't get mine until 14.My niece just turned 9 this month..I had a scare with her when she was 8..whew luckily it wasn't her period or anything to worry about.

Yes it can happen. I got my period like when I was 9 or 10. So yes its possible

I started when I was 10, so yes, it's entirely possible. Every girl is different.
And if you are over 13, one would think you would know how to use an apostrophe... *sighs*

yes, it is definately possible to have your period at that young of an age. the youngest girl to have a child i think was 5--she started he period at like 8 months or something. you can check it out at www.snopes.com under pregnancy.

There is a girl my daughter knows who is also 9 who has her period. She is in the 3rd grade. I was shocked!

Yes, anytime between 9 and 17 is normal.
It's based on genetics, so her mom may have gotten it young.

Anything is physically possible. Her hormones may be off. Or she could have had some kind of accident that caused her to start early. Or she could've been abused.
