The short answer is that they don't. And, since it is full of errors, the notion is preposterous in any case. One responder has offered a quote from the bible to "prove" its origin, but it is obvious that that is circular reasoning and of no validity whatever.

There is no proof that the Bible is the word of God. If you choose to accept it as such, then that is an issue of faith and/or belief. I studied religion in college, with many classes in the Bible. Many of the "prophecies" written after the fact except the predictions about the Messiah. What was written about Jesus is found only in the Bible, there is no documentation of his existence anywhere (other than a forged entry in Josephus's History of the Jews) and much of the fulfillments were likely written in order to justify Jesus as the Jewish Messiah. The same for propheices on modern-day Israel; they aren't, they're about Israel during the Intertestamental Period. The Protestants threw those books talking about that out of the Bible.
You must use your own God-given common sense to decide whether the Bible is the word of God.

I know for one because when you read it it makes sense and it's full of wisdom. Also by the prophecies that have come true. Specific prophecies like Israel becoming a nation in one day (1948), the Jews returning from all over the world back to Israel, an explosion of knowledge (past 100+ years), flourishing of the desert lands of Israel. There are many more that I can't think of, but they are so specific and not at all general. It can't be denied that it's the real deal.
As for the old testament, Jesus said that Moses allowed some things that did not come from God like divorce. That's why we have the new testament that clears up all the things in the old one. Jesus put an end to stoning anyone when he said "let him who has no sin cast the first stone." God did deal very harshly with the people in the old testament but he is still a God of love at the same time.
The Bible usually produces good things in people's lives if it is read with common sense and an open heart. It produces results that cannot be denied. There is no other book like it!

I have never seen or heard anything like this and I also know that if people would really read the bible they would see that everything in the bible has come to pass , and these men were sent to help to pass the word of God to everyone . God does not tell people to kill he gave to us choice and some times people take wrong choices . He also loves every one . He is a loving God . People do this on their own .

If you read the bible more carefully. it is said that prophets, angels etc. came to these people to help write about the future and Jesus birth and so on...if the bible wasn't real then how did they know a son named Jesus will be born? or other things that were predicted way along before Jesus came, people were warned about hI'm, just like now (but different) people have been warned about things that will happen in our future but is everyone really listening? im afraid not, this is why the book was written..to prove the truth over the lies, to prove that we need to understand more better and listen more carefully about god and having faith.
i hoped i helped, no offense taken, take care <3

II Timothy 3:15, 16
15. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptureswhich are able to make thee wiseunto salvation through faithwhich is in Christ Jesus.
16. All scripturre is given by inspirationof God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
It sounds as if a more thorough study of the bible with another believer will help you immensely.
I believe this explains it.
also, show me scripture in the will of God concerning Christians today that saysthings that does not portray a loving God.

This might take greater than yahoo for me to give an explanation for. I'll begin with the truth that wherein it says phrase it will have to honestly say plan. It is the Greek phrase trademarks which means "some thing stated adding the ideas" through implication "a subject matter or discipline of discourse" additionally "reasoning with the intellectual schools and purpose" It is translated from the Hebrew phrase dabar this means that the discovered will of YHWH, the plan and motive for mankind. This in step with Thayers Lexicon and The Interpreters Dictionary of The Bible. Proper names integrated it could be within the guide of Yahchanan ben Zabdyah (the ones names honestly have which means not like john) bankruptcy one million verses one million-four In the beggining used to be the plan of Yahweh, and the plan used to be with Yahweh, and the plan used to be Yahweh's. The identical used to be within the beggining with Yahweh. All matters had been performed in step with it and with out it not anything used to be performed that used to be performed. In this plan used to be existence and that existence used to be the sunshine to mankind. Also, thoroughly placed verse 14 says "According to this plan flesh used to be created; and residing amongst us, and we beholding his glory the distinction of the begotten son of the one Father, stuffed with honor and reality. edit: Where Terry says Collossians one million:sixteen the phrase by way of is honestly to mention "as a result of him" As to his rant approximately Revelations three:14, sure it says first. What he did not let you know is that many assets say that the phrase perfected is neglected. So it thoroughly says ..."the primary perfected of Yahweh.", this means that he used to be the primary guy to be superb, no longer he wass there within the beggining with Yahweh and His plan.

I read the Word of God once and believed it by faith. Then I saw the reality of it in life. This is something that will continue as I grow as a Christian. Believe and you will see.
God has to show you it is really the truth. He bears witness to his word by the Holy Spirit. But people choose to disobey God and would rather believe that Bible is false so that they can continue in unbelief and disobedience. If you are willing to obey God, you will know that the Bible is truly God's word.
