every once a while there is a new version of the bible....WHY??? meaning that few of some "holy people' are making and changing things in the bilbe to make it reflect the society that they want to create? i think people are justifing the holiey text only to create a sense that what they do is correct. this goves for all the holy texts not just the bible.

The Bible has been rewritten over and over for many years. In today's society man has written the Bible. First of all Satan tempted man to rewrite the Bible, what to put in it and what to take out of it. Man has twisted things around in the Bible just to justify man kind, and not God. If your able to try to get an older Bible. That will help you on any questions that you may have.

King James english is hard for some people to understand.
All translations are versions.
You have to learn Aramaic and Greek to get the original.
As long as the translations are done accurately, with any vaguarities documented by those who wish to criticize the accuracy, what is the big deal?
There are even comparative Bibles, which have several translations side by side, so you can read them all at once!
Believe me, the Bible is one of the most studied books in the world!
There are some versions, however, that have been changed by the cult religions, who didn't like the way God inspired authors wrote it. Those are well documented by knowledgeable critics as well.

Bible translations dont work like that. There are only a few that have seriously changed the text (the Jehovahs Witnesses NWT is one)
All the others still deliver the same message as the one before. Dont you think A Bible reader who reads one Bible for years and then sees another translation and reads it, would be able to say "Hey... you changed this part!" The reason why there are so many translations is because we arent comfortable with only one, those who translated it might have got it wrong... so, every so often another group of scholars go and translate again. Check for yourself, you wont get a different story in one than you will another.

Basically, there are TWO different "versions"; one which follows the Hebrew canon; the other which follow the Greek (Septuagint) canon.
There are many translations. Whenever there is a translation, there is difficulty in precisely conveying the full meaning of the original.
And in "living" languages (such as English, Americanish, etc.) the language keeps changing meanings. Therefore fresh translations attempt to keep the meaning of the Original easily understandable in the language of 2006.
But, of course, there are people who want to find excuses for not believing the Bible; because the Bible says they are dead in their trespasses and sins. People just don't like to hear such things!

The Bible is passed through such a long time over various societies of diverse cultures and languages. The problem is not with various versions, but with prejudices. People who read it with prejudices, see only problems; those who read it with the love of God, see perfect solutions. That is why, any versions of the Bible are still considered by millions of theists as a Holy Book.

this is due to curruption of the church in european history.some of the main causes are as follows:
indulgence: the church reciving money to buy your relitive out of pergitory, or to buy your way into hevin.
one of the early more extream versions of church curruption is where the house of the pope came to be a litteral brothal. the king of franconia (modern day spain, france, and germany) cleared this up by having the pope killed.
buying positions in the church: (there is a specific term for this, but i cannot remember it) it was very previlent
henery the 8: needed a male air to the throne, so he turned england into anglicans (same as catholic exept instead of the pope being head of the chuch the king is) so he could get the devorce.
calvins teachings: (in germany they are know as calvinists, in france huganots, in scotland protestants) he taught that you did not need the chuch to get to heaven. he also said you were pre-destine to go to heven if in fact you were going.
there are many more reasons, and it took off with the invention of the printing press.(though translation errors do account for some of the minor changes, these are the reasons for the major changes)

I have mixed feelings about the various versions of the Bible that have been published. While I do appreciate the utilization of modern language I am concerned with the tendency of mankind to create God in his image instead of simply listening to Gods Heart and interpreting Him in the Spirit.
Since the King James version is the first English translation I still rely heavily on it.
I do from time to time refer to other editions yet ultimately depend on my personal relationship with God and what I know of Him personally to help me interpret what He is saying in the Scriptures.

its true that in some churches they change some of the words in the bible to suit their needs, which is wrong. but in other ways the bible has many versions because of the many different languages there are, so many versions of the bible are being created but just translated and printed in another language, the words are not changed. http://www.lds.org is an awesome site, its the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints religion, they use the bible and also another book called "the book of mormon", which is easier to understand. you should check it out!! =)

Because if they can change the text, and make people believe what they wrote or left out then people will not know the truth. Satan is a deceiver and if he can try to destroy the Bible by adding or subtracting from the Bible he will.

Go get a hebrew bible,not those greek ones cause the greeks where praising gods and goddess, plus any bible that has been translated by the greeks is falsely interpeded, remember that their are no js in hebrew, the english made the j sound
