we're recently married but have not enough leave to go on our honeymoon till april next year. I've got an injury and can't climb steps & we prefer something moderately lazy with great food.
I was thinking Japan, New Zeland or Europe? He mentioned rain forest spa (but he refuses to go to the local spa with me!) he also mentioned that we may take 2 short breaks instead of 1 long 1 (but i know he'll end up just taking 1 short 1!!)
can anyone suggest anything?

Though I've never seen Japan nor New Zealand, I know for a fact that any old city in Europe will be filled with hard terrain in which, if you are seriously mobile-impeared, may be a challenge. If you were thinking about any cities in Japan, the overcrowding in some places may be an obstacle as well. However, parts of New Zealand that I have seen on travel channel and from stories that I've heard, is beautiful. But I'm sure that's for you to decide.
As far as your other issue, make him take you on a long one. But do yourself a favor, plan lots of things during that period, because multiple days of routine (beach, bars, etc) can get boring.

First of all congrats on the marriage, and I hope you injury heals quickly.
My sister and brother-in-law married a bit over a year ago and honeymooned at a Sandals resort. It was an all enclusive package. They were able to lounge at beach, have a spa day, and do day trips and tours. They have resorts all over. If you book be sure to tell them that you are going on your honeymoon-they may have speacials.
Good Luck!

You should look into an all inclusive resort. Good food, relaxing environment, or lots to do, spas, et cetra. We went to Jamaica and stayed at a Sandals resort. It was beautiful and really relaxing! Out of your listed options, I think New Zeland would be awesome.

I would say go on one long trip, who takes 2 short trips for a honeymoon?? that's just not normal.
I don't know which country you are from but I'm guessing America (just coz most people here are Americans), i would say far north Queensland in Australia if you want a rain forest experience, I've been there, it's really nice and relaxing and alot of mobility for your injury. and there tons of nice resorts, especially in Cairns.

Scotland, Greece, Turkey, Egypt - Take your pick. If you are a vegetarian, check out if you would get adequate food at the chosen place, that suits you.

one of the best resources you can use is a good travel agent. Find a good reputable company and talk to one of their representives. They will have some excellent ideas for the both of you.

Whatever is comfortable for you. Personally, I would NOT go out of the country. I would opt for a cruise. (Ask for the HONEYNOON SUITE,sweetie.
Bon Voyage.

I would have to choose Spain. Sorry about your injury but I would want to run with the bulls.
