marine no doubt. they go through intense training and have to go through more pain in training then cops. marine are trained as soliders and cops are trained hard but not as hard to be good enough to be a soilder

Depending on how well trained an individual is , let say if the cop is a black belt in martial art then he would most likely kick the **** out of the marine. But on the basis of normal training between the cop and marine without any extra training on the side, I think the marine would win without a doubt.

Essentially this depends on the individual and their previous training that they have had. However, a marine is considered one of most deadly weapons on the planet. Not sure if people hold cops in the same regard. Out of all the services they have the most difficult mental and physical boot camps etc. In the end the Marine would win.

There is no doubt... The Marine, unless the cop call for back up and some friends beat the crap ou of the Marine as they use to do, Marines are trained to fight and they are fit. Police officers eat too many Twinkies (the ones on bikes are the worst... they are

depends on the circumstances, rules of engagement, tools available, initiative.
some cops are former marines...
definitely depends on the individual
im not talking about your fat slouch midwest cops or your idiot east coast guys you will see taking a nap in the extreme left lane on the highway in virginia.
Im talking about real cops, Los Angeles, Orange County.
California has real cops. Florida maybe.
evenly matched then? stripped of all tools?
in the octagon...UFC style.
police patrolman over the beloved 'devil dog' rifle squad trooper no doubt at all. 3/1 favor. experience and tradeskill handling people vs jack of all trades.
ill also give it to a SWAT officer over Force Recon operator. but its a VERY close match...all these people are very specially proven, trained, handpicked and qualified. perhaps the swat operators experience and extreme CQB specialized training is what wins it for him. the recon operators grim determination, endurance training and pride might make him a winner if the fight lasts more than a few minutes and fatigue becomes an issue.
this is the main event to say the least.
but id put my money on any marine for all ranking officials and all rear eschelon support personnel for an EASY KO over their equivalent civilian counterparts. 4/1 favorite

I would have to say the marine too. Their training is a lot more intensive, and more focused on combat. But it depends which cop and which marine, though - there's some nasty tough cops out there.

A cop has to take a physical fitness test to get the job only. A marine has to take a physical fitness test twice a year. Never seen a fat marine.

Considering I grew up near Quantico (Woo-Hoo), I frequently saw big studly Marine men. Now since the majority of the men in my fam are in law enforcement, I've seen how fat and out of shape most police officers are. So I will definelty say a Marine with all that P.T. stuff they do everyday. Semper Fi!

A marine without a doubt. Cops are losers (the ones I know anyway).
