By far a size 16 copper john, with all due respect to the pheasant tail and hare's ear nymphs, the copper john seems to work best. I fish the Catskills, Delaware, and many eastern PA
streams (Bowman's, Broadhead's Little Lehigh, e.g.)

I use a brassie a lot in the winter. Seems to work great in the Holston River just below the dam for South Holston Lake.
