Do you think exhibiting jealousy on an occaisional basis is healthy? Does this mean that someone loves you so much they are afraid of losing you or is it only a reflection of their own self esteem issues? Why do people say that exhibiting jealousy is ususally done by cheaters? Any thoughts on this?

In moderation Jealousy can be good, as it shows your willing to fight or go the distance for your sigificant other. But on the other hand if thats all you show, then its also showing you are not trusting of your sigificant other. It has to be in balance.

For me I do not show jealousy often as I trust my woman and know I'm hers and she is mine...Now there is the odd time when if a guy hits on her I get jealous but it is not her but the guy hittin on her and well then need to eliminate that guy lol.

Jealousy is not love ! It is a control issue !
When I was young and first married I thought my husband should be jealous and that would prove his love. WRONG !
My husband was in the military when I married him and made a career of it and I thank the Lord that I learned what life with a non jealous person was like. What freedom, what love. We have 5 grown children today and have been married almost 54 years, and it only gets sweeter. It has been a wonderful life with ups and downs but being born again Christians has made the journey oh ! so sweet. Stay positive, keep smiling and remember you don't want anyone that is jealous of you or that you feel the need to be jealous of. LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS !!! Good luck to the two of you !
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !!
LOVE DOES NOT HURT

Well Im somewhat flattered when my guy friends say mean things about my boyfriend out of jealousy. I dont think it always has to do with low self esteem, although it certainly can. I try not to be jealous of anyone. Its much 'healthier' to love who you are and what situation your in, instead of envying others.

There are other ways of expressing affection other than jealousy, jealousy helps no one, especially the person who is feeling it. Cheaters are usually very insecure individuals who feel raw emotions such as jealousy.

Wow nice question....well jealousy itself is just an emotion that all people feel because of certain situations, now what makes jealousy a bad thing is the reason you have behind......think about it!

A little bit of jealousy is healthy. Its so hard though.I'd never show it to him. but with my guy its so hard cause he has so many female friends and I'm so not used to that. But I teaching myself to let go of it.I trust him 100%.But I don't agree that its done by cheaters cause I don't cheat and hate people who do but I still feel insecure at times I mean I'm only human.

I even have got here upon that the main rule in any dating is on no account do something you're uncomfortable with and don't fall for emotional blackmail. tell him you will not like a threesome and can you circulate back on your individual dating - you and him on my own doing the failings you the two like. If this would not artwork you in simple terms isn't happy with him so circulate on.

Jealousy is like guilt--a worthless commodity and a negative motivator. I do not think it is healthy on any basis.
