I was in a long relationship for 6 years. Things between us started falling apart 1 year prior. He ended up moving and we tried to continue the relationship, but with no sucess. we remain friends, but it is hard. I thought that our love was stronger then this and boy was I wrong. How do you move on and find love or happiness again?

I tell you what, is really hard to move on specially you been known him for so long is hard to forget those happy moments, the laughter and sadness. I can say that coz it was happen to me 3 yrs ago i was enggaged for 2 years. And is hard also to accepted just to be your friend as one time your lover. I think is better way is to forget him rather than keep him as a friend so you can move on. Is easy for you to forget all memories if you don't see him. Thats only way to move on. I know is hard but it takes time.

Think of how boring and depressing you'll sound to the next person you try dating that has to hear about the 'other' guy all night long and you'll probably clean up your act pretty fast...or, you can carry the baggage of a dead relationship with you for the rest of your life and end up just another bitter, lonely old bat!

Its hard, I know, I joined a gym and put all my energy into training. This help me in two ways
1. more self esteem
2. something to focus on to take my mind of things.
You need a distraction then only time will heal the hurt. Best of luck and don't give up your happiness will come.

You have to look in places where men might be .There is nothing wrong with not having a b/f .Keep busy . I was married for 18 yrs and suddenly it was over but i managed to get over him and you will too. When that happens you can go forward with your life.

take time and think about it in a neutral manor. and see if it will
going to be working again for booth of you, if it is not , just say
no problem and let it be only a friendship, but don't mingle or think
too much about it. Open yourself to meat new people, just be
honest and simple, and Love will be there waiting for you.

Only with TIME. It's hard but as time moves on so will you. Just keep yourself occupied with work, friends, going to the movies, etc. This will get your mind off of it.

you cant start something new until you end the old......Your love was not strong enough and it didnt last....but you cant stay in the place you are.....Your in the doorway and you cant go back....step out, shut the door behind you and move forward.....good luck!!!!
