Talk to her likes she's about to jump off a building. "Ok stay calm. I understand. That must really upset you. Everything will be alright" But put an extra dose of sarcasm in your voice. Talk to her like she's 3. I guarantee you she will stop whining in front of you.

Treat her like the brat she is.

Wait until she is going to be out of her house for a day. Get your wife to go along with you and go into her house. Get your wife to dress you like your mother in law, using her clothes and makeup and stuff. When she gets home great her with hugs and kisses. That should jumble things up enough that she will never think the same way about things ever again.

Do what i do with my Grandmother in law and tell her, "That is nice" or "we will take your suggestion into consideration" and smile. Then do whatever you and your wife have decided to do in the first place. When she brings it up again say, "We discussed you opinion and chose not to follow it" or "My wife and I are running our house hold just fine, thank you."

If you are Christian, ask you pastor for marriage videos or book suggestions on dealing with in-laws or that you can give to your in-laws as X-mas presents.

Wow, sounds like a petulant child. And you should know what to do when a little kid is throwing a temper tantrum. Ignore them, eventually they'll realize no one is giving them the attention they want and it will be done.

Just because you love her daughter doesn't mean you have to like her.

I appreciate what you are trying to do and if I ever need any help with anything, I would like it if I could ask for your help.

WOW! looks like my sister's spouse's mom, apart from the ex-spouse hardship. you would be able to evaluate being pals with the ex-spouse - no longer chum-pals, in simple terms pals. it particularly is up on your husband to tell his mom to back off, no longer yours. He desires to be a guy and tell her that he's bored along with her habit and is no longer seeing her or answering her calls till her habit differences. that's what a real guy could do. do no longer settle for any presents from her - do no longer even open them. in simple terms write return to sender on them and deliver them back. tell the ex-spouse which you will take excitement in it if she now no longer acted by using fact the spouse's mom's pawn. He would additionally tell her that if she doubts the paternity of her grandchild, she will pay for DNA attempt. If she would not desire to try this, then she is barely making use of it as an excuse to hate any female who could take her "toddler" removed from her. (remember, she in all probability did no longer like the ex-spouse till AFTER she became now no longer his spouse.) She has torn up her grand-mom card and could be sorry in the top. a pair of times a three hundred and sixty 5 days, deliver her photos of the three of you. One at Christmas time and one at your daughter's birthday. you do no longer would desire to have any added touch than that to "honor" her.

Sadly, you are stuck with her as long asd you are married to her daughter. Just say, "uh-huh" and then go about your business.
