We finally met in person after talking on the phone for several months.
We made out in my car on our first "date". He told me that I am hot, but it sounded like he was hesitatiing to say it.
Also, he said in a joking manner - you're so beautiful - (laugh, laugh)
Also, he never complimented me on anything except, "nice boots". Yes, nice boots was my compliment - not "nice outfit", "you look nice", "you have pretty eyes." - nothing.
I even told him that he was very handsome and reminded me of Tom Cruise - he didn't return any compliments.
Arrrgh. I just can't tell if he's attracted to me - especially when he jokes about me being "hot" after a long makeout (am I hot, or my kisses, you know?)....and then hesitates when he calls me beautiful - and then laughs.
How does a grown man show someone that he is attracted to her?

How old are you? hope you met this guy in a public place, cuz if you only met online and talked on the phone, then you dont really know him at all! next time you meet a guy that youve never seen before, do it as a double date with a girlfriend and her guy. dont end up as a statistic. this sounds like a scenario for a guy to really mess with you--especially if hes in the habit of meeting much younger women from online contact. use your head girl! the least of youre problems is wether or not he gave you any compliments--he sounds like a first class loser if he has to resort to this kind of thing to meet women.

Not like this. It sounds like this guy is socially retarded and you could do better elsewhere. You don't say how old you are but my guess is our much younger than he is. There are lots of nice guys out there who would treat a girl like a princess and would also know how to talk to them. Just if your under age do him and you a favor and don't lie to him or even do anything sexually until your legal. No guy needs the hassle of finding out your gf is underage. Sex can wait. If he is worth it he will wait for you.

Sounds kinda f**ked up to me. You meet the guy than make out in a car after talking on the phone for months? I think you may have more to worry about that just your boots.

Do the litmus test - throw the question at him and you will know.
Ask him - "tell me 10 things you like most about me and 10 things that you dislike most about me"
My feeling is he will not be able to finish the tally - if he cant do that it means he does not know you yet, so be careful! - but best of luck.

Usually, when someone refers to someone as hot, it just means they want to sleep with them. When someone refers to someone as beautiful with a serious face, he likes her.
