I have made apple mash like 10 or so times but everytime i made it i used red apples, and now all i have is green apples and im curious to as what the differences will be.

+ You will find you have a slight flavor differences. I always use a mix of 2 or 3 types of apples. The alcohol content will be roughly the same.

I believe that fermentation is linked to how much sugar is in the friut. I think that green apples have less sugar than red so my guess is that they will produce less alcohol. We have used peaches, rhubarb and rose hips. The peaches usually produced more because of sugar content.

It's the sugar that does it. The more sugar, the stronger the brew.
