I have known this girl since kindergarten, and it wasn't until recently that I got to know her a lot better and really enjoyed spending time with her. I got up enought courage to give her a card that said "Let these words not only touch your eyes, let them travel through your soul and rest in your heart, as you rest in mine...I love you." -Travis-. Then a few days after I got her flowers while with friends and her. She gave me a card that I read when I got home. It said "Thanks for the card!" (the exclamation had a heart at the bottom) "Love, Audra". We have so much fun together, and her twin brother is my best friend. Her family is also fun to be with. There is a Christmas party coming up and she's my guest...should I ask her to be my girlfriend after the party? Or does she even love me? Or should I give it more time?

you really have to let this flow naturally. she didnt really give you any hints in that card which is unfortunate, but you have made your move. You need to let her do something that shows she is just as in to you first before making the huge jump to asking her to be your girlfriend. PErhaps something will happen at the party, or at least ask her what she thought about your letter, anything to get some sort of sign.

I think that the card that she gave to you is only a symbol of friendship, but you are trying to take it to another level which could destroy the friendship that you all have. I do not think that she loves you as a boyfriend (romantically); she does love you as a friend. You are moving to fast; slow down and take your time, try doing a lot of fun things with her and both of you will get closer.

her response in the card she gave to you makes it seem like she doesnt want to hurt you...but she has strong feelings for you. Maybe I'm wrong. This is my opinion. In case I am wrong, wait. Be patient. Don't give any more hints just yet. After Xmas if things haven't changed....talk to her
