I'm not too familiar with the K-1 visas since these visas are new. I only know that you are the one who should petition for his visa application. I heard that the process is pretty fast and simple (that's why they started to issue them). Once INS has all the required documents, your fiancee will be notified. He still needs to go the nearest US embassy in Mexico and apply for the fiancee visa (K-1). If his visa is approved he can enter the US without any problem, but you guys have to get married within 90 days, if you don't, then he will fall out of status.
Here's a website: http://usimmigration.visapro.com/K1-Fiance-Visa.asp
Angela, your husband can go back to Mexico but his waiting time in becoming a US citizen or acquiring his green card will be longer. UNLESS he felt out of status and became an illegal alien before you guys got married.

sure, it truly is the purely right guy's duty fairly, yet the position i'm from (and different places in accordance to t.v.) the groom receives to do what he needs, it truly is his get at the same time. you want to describe to him that it truly is okay if he has a say and recommend that he tell the purely right guy that even with the reality that he somewhat appreciates it and thinks it will be relaxing, he doesn't sense mushy putting that a lot of a monetary stress on any of them, and needs to verify that all and dissimilar can attend and function an excellent time, so per chance he ought to organize something in the route of abode, like staying at a cabin, or a fairly priced motel in a interior of sight city with a pool or something. If achieved wisely this shouldn't offend all people.

My fiance came to US on a tourist visa and we got married here in the states.....We got to stay together, during the whole process....The only catch is, he cannot go back to Mexico during this time, or he will NOT be allowed back in......Unless he gets special permission from our govt. to leave the country, ie a death in the family.....Please check with INS, before you do this.....I am not sure if this it is still allowed, that is to come on a tourist visa and get married......We did it this way three years ago and now he is a legal resident....
