Ok lets try this agian. No one wants to belevie me. SO more info on what I'm looking for. I'm only 18, I'm not looking for some one to make false documents for me. I want to be here legally!! I would like to know what department if any would be able to help. There no one who I know, who knew my mom before I was born, so no one can tell me if I was born here or not or if I was smuggled in or whatever. My mother is gone, so no way to know what really happened and I don't really care. I'm more worried about the problem at hand. I only went to fourth grade for that reson, the social security num. used in those years was probably fake who knows We moved more times than I care to remember.I also think the story I was told from my mother is hard to belevie (I'm haveing a hard time belevieing it my self)but its the only thing she really ever said about it. SO to get to the point, I was wondering if you know what department to talk to, what legal goverment deparment I could talk to by phone

Where is your mother from? Some countries pass citizenship through blood (ie if one or more of a person's parents are of a particular country, then citizenship passes. Some exceptions are Germany and Japan).

Without specific information, no one can help you. Say for example, if you were sent before an immigration judge and he ruled that you were not a citizen, you could stay in immigration detention for a long long time until you could find a country that would take you.

I actually worked on the case of a man that made similiar claims, however his story was that he was from Guam and moved to Hawaii at a young age. He claimed that he was homeschool and that no one knew him. He claimed that his parents were dead.

Immigration ran his fingerprints with negative results. There was no record of him anywhere. He could not produce one person that knew him.

When he went before the immigration judge, he was asked a few questions. His story did not make any sense. The judge ruled that he was not creditiable.

He is now living in Mexico.

I would be willing to try to help you, but you need to provide details.

Where was your mother from?
Where did you go to school (they have records)?
Where did you live?
Where did your mother claim you were born?
What do you know about your father?

Again, I am willing to help you for free, but if you are going to withhold information or lie, don't bother.

You can email me by clicking on my "picture."

It is hard to say who you should talk to, because you're not sure yourself. I would say start with the Social Security Office. You say you don't know where you were born. Why don't you just assume you were born in America? You must have some reason for being uncertain. You have/had a SSN find out if it's a real number. If it is than you don't have a problem, you can use that to get the other documents you need, If it is fake, than focus on getting a real number that's your best bet.

You need to call USCIS, Immigration Services

Also, check with the county court your mother says you were born in for birth records. This is public record and you should not have to pay. If you are on those records, you are already legal. If you are not, cease the use of that S.S card, it's probably a fake and could get you in BIG trouble. If you are unsure of the county you were born in, you could always contact the S.S office itself.

If it comes out that you are not legal, I would get a lawyer. You can seek legal information from LULAC, La Raza, your local Catholic legal aid office, or your local legal aid.

I definitly think you should get a lawyer. Not because you could get deported because it is possible you are here illegaly; but a lawyer would definatly know best. A lawyer would know which department and how to handle it, and you definatly should go on without legal advice. Is there a close friend of yours or maybe a family friend that can give you some legal advice? Chack it, and I hope everything works out!

Ask the Civil Registry of the place where you were born or resided as narrated by your mother. You could get your birth ceritificate thereat to know oyur identity. If there is no record, you can apply for a late registration in the Civil Registry of the place where you are residing now so that your identity could now be documented.

You recognize, if you're terrified of being recognized, you'll be able to name the federal government central facts division or the Immigration division from a pay mobile and inform your tale and your issues and spot what they are able to advocate. However, I additionally learn your subsequent query involving this and it sounds to me as even though you're now not particularly one hundred% special that you simply have been, actually, born within the USA. If so, I doubt very a lot that you're on my own on this limitation. This is yet another very well intent why I am so very a lot AGAINST unlawful immigration - it's so unfair to the blameless kids and it's the moms and dads who're within the flawed - now not the USA. You are very proper to be worried with getting your residency situated when you consider that you're very insecure till you do that. In reality, you're well-nigh in limbo till you do that. If I have been you, I might be relentless in getting documentation involving your delivery and your authorized reputation within the USA. Do now not allow this slide when you consider that it's in general the major factor you're going to ever do for your self. This will investigate whether or not you'll be able to have publish-secondary schooling within the USA, whether or not actually you'll be able to even legally paintings within the USA, and undoubtedly whether or not you may have the ethical proper to have interaction in romantic relationships with American ladies and feature kids within the USA. For the sake of your long term and that of your long term partner and youngsters, get this straightened out asap!
