So when Judas knew that he had done the wrong thing by betraying Jesus, did he ask God to forgive his sins before he hung himself? Or did he just hang himself, because he thought God could never forgive him? What if he did repent? Or did he just go to hell for what he did to Jesus?

Jesus was praying to the Father and said that he had lost "none" that the father had given him, except the "one doomed to destruction". I believe this refers to Judas. Therefore, Judas must not have repented, because if he had, he would have been forgiven and not been lost.

The scripture writers took a progressively (by that I mean that as each gosple was written, Judas was villified all the more) hostile portrayal of Judas. It does not mention whether he asked for forgiveness or not, but remember none of the disciples were with him so they would not have known. But he may have asked for forgiveness and if he did, Judas received it. We must remember that Judas was in fact an instrument of God because he fulfilled God's plan. Someone had to betray Jesus and Jesus chose Judas to be a disciple knowing in advance what act of betrayal he would do.

unfortunately the heart of Judas was such that before he was picked as an apostle, God knew that he worshipped himself above all else.

The bible states that Judas knew he had made a huge mistake by betraying Jesus Christ, but does not state that he was repentant. It is thought that Judas realized he had just sold our his meal ticket and the days of skimming the finances of the ministry were over.

He wanted to get Jesus out of this jam that he had put him into, so that they could get back on the road and continue life status quo.

When he found that he could not undo what he had done, that is when he became despondent and killed himself. No repentance is ever spoken of or written about, just regret at losing his "job".

The Bible makes no notation of Judas every asking for forgiveness. We don't know if he did or not. One cannot insert ones own opinions into the Word of God. Well I won't. I also cannot judge him as to if he went to Heaven or Hell. Sorry. May God Bless

Well there's no record of him praying, but just like Peter went to Jesus and repented for denying Him, Judas could have too. Did he? We dont know.

Judas realized who Jesus Christ really was, he also realized what he had done. He repented for his sins. And he hung himself.

In Christianity, one needs to believe in God, repentive of your sins, and accept Jesus Christ.

Judas fulfilled the requirements and now is in heaven.

(suicide is not listed as a sin in the Bible anywhere. Samson prayed for and was granted the strength to kill his enemies and himself. There were others.)

good question, I really cant give a "for sure" answer but I think he might possibly have repented. my reason for this deduction was he went back to the chief priests. Matthew 27:3 says in the NIV.
"Judas who betrayed Him, saw that Jesus was condemned, was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and elders. they would not accept it back so in Matthew27:5 it says he threw the silver into the temple and left. then he went away and hanged himself. you will have to draw your own conclusion.

I even have easily little doubt that Jesus could forgive Judas suitable on the spot, if Judas asked him for forgiveness. And Jesus could surely relatively forgive him, too. Why? Jesus became suited. he's extra useful than us. He could on no account carry a grudge against anybody. remember whilst he became on the go- "Father, forgive them, for they understand no longer what they do."

Judas did not repent. He never really believed in who Jesus was. Jesus said of him, "It would have been better for that man if he had never been born."

No biblical record of repentance. From his actions of hanging himself he seemed to be unable to accept the possibility of God's forgiveness.

I think if he could have brought himself to seek it and accepted it, God would have granted it.
