Jesus Christ is the son of God. He was sent here, born of a virgin,in a stable over 2,000 yrs. ago. At 33 yrs. of age he was convicted of blasphemy and sent to the cross for his crime. When he died on the cross he took upon himself the sins of the world, a sacrifice for our sins, three days later he arose conquering death. He did this so our sins could be forgiven. There has to be a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and Jesus was the perfect lamb of God.

His followers still sin because they're human like you and me. Everyone will sin, even when you're a Christian you still make mistakes. Christ died for our sins means that we don't have to make sacrifices for it anymore. Instead of it being covered up, it can be washed away.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God sent His Son, Jesus to earth to pay for our sins. The payment for sin is death, so Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect life, and later died to pay for all of our sins.
He died for everyone on earth the people in the past, present, and future.

In the Old Testament, for any sins committed people must make a sacrifice in order to appease God. Thus cattle, sheep, pigs and whatnot were killed.
So when Jesus came around, his blood being "pure" as the son of God....he was sacrificed and the innocence of his blood was supposed to be enough (I mean, son of God versus puny human beings- hello!) to clear all past, present, and future sins in the eyes of God.
Assuming, of course, you accept Jesus Christ as his son and your Saviour. Otherwise, it's kind of like saying the deal's off.
Not that I blame him. I like my blood IN me, personally.

What Christians believe is when Jesus was crucified, he died to redeem everyone from their sins. So basically, Jesus took the punishment for his followers for their sin by suffering and dying.

Our ancestors forgot God.
Christ bore the greatest suffering to prove that His words are not for any selfish benefit on earth, but only for reminding them about the love of the One True God which sustains their lives here and in the worlds to come.
But, now we again forget God, so Christ returns for the same purpose as He had promised.

I am no religious freak okay!! but He died because He loves you and wanted you to accept him and be forever with Him in heaven when ever you die. and if you ask "then why do all these bad things happen?" well when God/Jesus created us He gave us the power to choose what we wanted to do for ourselves, He never forces us to do anything He gives us the choice. Yes He could make this a perfect place but Since we don't choose to follow Him he cant do nothing to save us. Take this for instance lets say you saw a group of ants walking towards fire. i for one would try to save them. but they won't understand me or pay attention to me even if i screamed or started to stamp on the ground. the only way to save them is to be one of them . that's what Jesus Christ did for us . so He died to save you .

it means, that 2006 years ago he was hung on the cross, and all of the sins of the world would be placed on him,ONLY if we acept Jesus in our heart, bascily he saved us from ETERNITY in hell,ONLY If we take the free gift he has given us, but first you must be saved, and thats what it means, He Died for the mistakes we made and make, and if we acept we can go to heaven, but if we dont get saved, you will burn in hell FOREVER! NEVER STOPPING PAIN AND SUFFERING FOREVER! so if your not,you better get saved, people are running out of time

You commit sins worthy of death, but Christ came in the flesh and being sinless, died on the cross to pay your debt so that you don't have to. All you have to do is admit your sins and accept the sacrifice He made on your behalf.

Sin itself creates demise, now not God. In order to face earlier than God, we ought to be with out sin. None folks are with out sin. As it stands, the one position we might exist for eternity is hell, that's a position of darkness set apart for Satan due to the fact he did not desire to be within the presence of God. Jesus got here within the flesh 2000 years in the past, being utterly guy and utterly God while. Because He lived a sinless lifestyles, but nonetheless paid the consequences for our sin (demise and separation from God). Because Jesus was once God, he was once in a position to pay for our sin on our behalf while no different guy might. He was once additionally in a position to take action each professional actively and retroactively, which means that His demise atoned for the sins of the devoted who have been already lifeless as good as individuals who weren't even born but. For the high-quality expertise, learn the booklet of Genesis and comply with it with John.
