Well, I have 5 sisters and 5 brothers. Affording christmas gifts is getting a lot more difficult as I get older. My oldest sister really appreciates hand made gifts. Last christmas I bought a bunch of them handmade stickers and made an ellaborate christmas card and a poem. I also bought a few yards of fabric and made her a traveling blanket, simple and cheap. This year I'm making her curtains.

My neice made all of her cousins reindeer poop last Christmas and they loved it.
She bought cute little bags in the craft section of the dollar store and then she bought chocolate covered raisins (chocolate covered nuts or malted milk balls work too).

If you have a really good photo of your sis, you can make her a great photo magnet. I buy a magnet sheet at the dollar store (8 1/2 X 11" - sticky on one side) and then I carefully cut out my favorite people and stick them to the magnet and then cut the whole thing out.

If you do a set of magnets of her friends or favorite band, she can put them on her locker.

Get some special photos and do a scrapbooking page - you can buy the frames cheap for them to go into too and she will love it. I made one for my sisters bday and all of her friends want one. You could do whatever theme you like - friends, family, favourite things, the list goes on and there are plenty of web sites to get ideas and magazines.

young or old. a picture album with written-words or story's about the pics showing the best times you had with them or whatever. it's always something that can be saved for later in life. and it's from the heart.
