Depends on the surgery. Hernia would require a waiver, gastric bypass would be a no-go. Talk to a recruiter.

It depends on the surgery. If the injury and or surgery has left you with any physical disabilities you may require a waiver and you may be limited to what job you can have. I have had several surgeries after joining the military and they haven't kicked me out yet.

It would probably depend on the surgeries.
If you had surgery to have a limb removed or something like that, then you probably don't have a future in the military.
A surgery to have your appendix removed probably won't disqualify you.
See what I mean? Talk to the someone in the army recruit. They would be able to tell you.

They will ask for medical records & evaluate if you are able to perform your duties. In Officer School you must be able to run 8 miles with a 40 lb pack at their order (forced run) & in Ranger School there is a 14 mile forced march with 40 pack. Usually after long tiring day. It would be tough on your ankles but you know your limits & maybe you should talk to your doctor & then the recruiter.
Good luck in achieveing your desires.

depends completely on what kind of surgery. The thing that could prevent acceptance is a health problem.

I don't think so; it probably depends on what kind of surgery, and if it's a chronic problem or if it's completely healed. The best thing would be to talk to a recruiter or ask on goarmy.com
Hope this helps!

Can you still run after your surgeries? The doctor giving your entrance physical may want to see your x-rays.

You will have to be medically screened. The Doc will decided if you are fit for duty. BUT you must learn to spell military before they will let you join.

No. The only thing that will keep you out is your attitude. You either will succeed, or you won't. Talk to a recruiter. They may tell you to just be a little less than honest.
