FYI, if "asking you out" is all he did, he is NOT asking you to be his girlfriend. People often go out on dates to figure out if they want to have a relationship. When he specifically asks you to be his girlfriend, that's when you should start wondering about becoming his girlfriend.

Honey, you're too young for boyfriends... wait till you're older and actually know a little about life. (and I know that you think that you know everything... I get you.... all of us thought that when we were 12... but the reality is that you can be the most grown up 12 year old and you still are not ready)
you know how when you were 5 you didn't know as much as you know now? well, it's the same.... you need to be at least in HS before you should think about such things.
a lot of girls your age give into pear pressure and end up regretting it for the rest of their lives.
Enjoy your youth... there will be plenty of time for boys later.
PS. it's hard to understand now, but at this age, boys are not the knights in shiny armor you would like them to be... and I mean all boys... ask your dad.... they'll tell you just about anything; even if it's not true, just to get what they want. The good news is that most of them grow out of it.

My concern is - whose answer will you listen to? The ones that say yes or the ones that say no. Will you be smart and listen to good advice? Because if you already want to be his grilfriend for what ever reason - no matter what people say you will likely go ahead with what you want anyway.
Will you listen to answers by other 12 - 15 year olds or answers by people who are more experience in life and have seen a lot more than you coudl imagine.
Hope you make the right choice.

Sure there's no harm in that, just discuss with your parents on how they feel about the relationship. As long it doesn't affects your studies and your mentally capable of handling the demands of a relationship then by all means. But I don't think it is going to last since your still young there's plenty of people you still haven't met and it seems to be just puppy love. Take it easy and if you both don't work out, fret not, there will always be someone out there for you. Trust me.

I think you should try the chance and try it there is nothing to be afraid of that I mean that has happen to me and I said yes but the guy was using me so make sure he isnt using then say yes if you dont want to ask him if he is using you go to a friend and her to ask him that is the way to go. If your friend doesnt know what to say have her say this " Hey (dudes name) do you really like my friend and you are not just using her to be cool and you really want to go out with her?" have her say that he will tell you the answer so quickly or if he doesnt answer than he is using you. Just face the facts. E-mail me back with what you said and he. If you need any more help you know my e-mail.

Sweetheart you can go out with him without being his girlfriend. Just go have some fun and see if you really get a long. Make sure he treats you with respect the way you want and should be treated. Talk to your mom or sister if you have them and if you feel comfortable.
Good Luck

No. What would you do with him once you were his girlfriend? Being exclusive means you are willing to give up dating other people but since you have not even started dating other people your are putting the cart before the horse. After you have dated a lot of boys, and you meet one that you want to keep dating, then get a boyfriend.
