It takes a typical person about 20 minutes to walk a mile. Try walking briskly for 40 minutes, and you should walk about 2 miles.

Trick question which Borough or Manhatten??? Then North to South or East to West? OOO try this....

If you Going N to S and back West 19th St up 8th street to Madison Square Garden is just at 1/2 mile and 13 2/3 blocks so a total of 25 blocks that way would be close to a mile...

Now if you going East to West try one street... 57th st
From the Westside HWY down west 57th to 6th Ave is 1mile
Then stay on East 57th to East River is just over a mile.

1st one is 6 1/2 blocks 2nd is 8 1/2 blocks

To your health....

Use Yahoo Maps and put in an address from and to and you won't have to run the same route over and over...

I would recommend that you invest in a pedometer.
