I am careful with food intake. No alchohol, coffee, tea or other acidic food. All classic symptoms of gastrities present but scope show no ulcer. Anyone with similar symptoms please advise.

Have you been checked for Acid Reflux or Sleep Apnea? I did a bit of research on those for my husband- and I noticed that some of the symptoms are very similar.

Are you perhaps under stress? That can manifest as stomach trouble too.

I'm not going to say this *will* work. But sometimes if my husband wakes in the middle of the night with his insides roiling, I will fix him Tension Tamer tea, and add a dash of powdered ginger, a spoon of sugar, and a spoon of honey. He swears it helps. Another thing he takes to help control his stomach troubles is papaya enzyme. He used Prilosec for a long while, but it got to the point where the Prilosec was making him sick too.

Good luck!

Have you considered gallbladder problems? The gallbladder secretes bile used in digestion. Things like gallstones can cause it to over secrete etc. Also keep in mind that some foods are more difficult to digest. things like corn contain an enzyme that makes digestion hard. Acidic foods are not the only culprits. Start a food diary and see if certain foods act differently on your stomach.
I have had stomach ulcers, reflux, IBS, gallstones. Have your Dr. check for bacteria it often is the cause of ulcers. If you don't have an ulcer, the bacteria may be causing problems. A drug treatment including an antibiotic is prescribed.

My advice: Try not eat immediately before going to bed. Take your last meal at least 4 hours before bedtime. Also, chew the food that you eat very carefully and as for long as possible before swallowing it. These measures will most likely help you. If nothing changes for a few weeks despite all these measures, then you are probably suffering from hypochondria.
