here's my theory. most girls aren't bisexual (im most certainly not)
but they know that girl on girl action turns guys on
so they say and act like they are...
hmmm.

Teenagers and young adults are a LOT more liberal with their sexualities these days. Many more are accepting of different sexualities than in the past, and many more are bi-curious, so yes, this could definitely be true. A lot of people identify as bisexual, or don't label themselves at all because you just never know.

i think they think its cool and are taught to have that mind set in school, I don't like the idea of a 12 year old girl having a girlfriend cause shes "BI" cmon they don't know who they are at that age
And to the responder Mellisa. I thought her question was just, factual and right on the mark. obviously you are very sheltered. this young lady has a very legit question that deserves an answer

I am not a girl but I can share some thoughts.
It is not about the increase in number of bisexuals or gays but it's about the increasing courage of homosexuals to come out in the open and express their feelings.
We very well know that long time ago it is a taboo. However, our social environment has changed a lot into a more accepting and understanding one.
Don't take it like there is a "plague" going on in our society with what you are hearing.
There is no "disease". it is just showing us that more people in our society are developing a more nurturing environment.

I think that people saying they are bi is on the rise. First, they think it's cool, and second, they like to keep their options open. It's likely they do only like guys, but you know, there might be a girl out there they like, and hey, why close doors?

Not Bi-sexual, just metrosexual. Definition for metrosexual - undercover bi-sexual. You've gotta be politically correct.

Well I technically am straight, and would not really want to have a relationship with a girl, but it doesn't really matter to me if I do something sexual with one of my friends. I wouldn't necessarily go seeking out any romance from one of them, but I wouldn't really care if it came to me.

I THINK THE YOUNG GIRLS R TRYING TO BE DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE, INCLUDING THEIR PARENTS, WE HAVE TO WONDER DID WE DO THIS, ALOT OF PARENTS ENCOURAGE OUR KIDS TO TRY NEW THINGS, IF THEY DONT THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SAY I WONDER IF I SHOULD HAVE TRIED? I DONT THINK ALL KIDS ARE BI, SOME SOME ARE, WE NEED TO LOVE THEM ALL THE SAME.
