I like Zeus as a name for a dog.
My pops once said that a dog's name should be with ample consonant sounds and with two syllables. Supposedly the requirements help with the responsiveness of the dog. (The harsh sounds are more distict and something about stressing the second syllable...)
But hey do you trust my dad?
And I think Zeus is cool...

It's a great name...playful sounding, yet it commands respect!
Besides, I love the name "Zeus" for dogs!

Becareful, you give him the name of a god he'll act like one. We had a small mongrel named Thor(god of thunder and lighting) and he bit a doberman named Thunder. Thor was a fierce little and the only time another dog was able to hurt him was when it attacked from behind, it was a farm dog visiting the city and broke out of a screen dog when he saw another dog, but my little city dog fought right back. He lived to a ripe old age but I still miss him.

sure, why not? I knew a rottweiler named Zeus. A very nice dog. He died of cancer.
