Seems to be in both knees at same time, and same intensity of pain or pressure...Sometimes I might stand for hours (as a DJ) and no pain at all; other times I will feel it just walking a short distance...I use a treadmill for 30 minutes most days of the week, and the times I've noticed pain it is in the beginning, and seems to improve as I walk...are my knees on the way out?

I did have something similar once when I was using an informercial contraption that probably stressed my knees. I went to an orthopedic clinic and they gave me a quick once-over and said I was OK.

Sounds like you might be 40-50 lbs. overweight, and not the answer you wanted. But it's true. For every pound you weigh, you put 4 lbs. of pressure on your knees and feet. So for every step you take, you are putting 892 lbs. of pressure on your knees. Do you think that might be a problem? I do. Get on a moderate diet and exercise program with walking, no stress to the joints. Drop 10% of your weight at first and then another 10%; you will notice your knees will be happy campers! Take antiinflammatories, also with food. Good luck and Godloveya.

you didnt say how old you were - nor if you had previous injuries or played hard sport like football

if you are gettin on or previously played a lot of sports it could be arthritis setting in

however it could also be some cartilage damage, tendinitis, bursitis or simple quadricep weakness and imbalance

if its worrying you get it checked out - its reasonalby easy to diagnose major knee problems

it could also be referred pain from a back, hip or foot problem!

Weight+age= wear and tear to joints. Exercise will help overall, but do not force movement if pain persistes during exercise and consult MD.
