I'd guess that, yes, it would. My grandmother has smoked for God knows how long, and today, she can't smell anything...and my brother smokes, and he's having some troubles detecting certain scents...

I am a smoker & I don't think so. I know I don't smell things as well as I did before I smoked. I also don't think I taste things as well either.
