Get a lot of popsicles to eat at home, but no red ones. If you vomit blood, it's a bad thing and you would need to go back to the hospital. If you've been eating red popsicles and jello, you won't know if you're vomiting popsicles or blood, so stay away from red stuff.

You are going to be in some significant pain, so keep taking your pain medication as often as prescribed, even if you're not in pain at that moment. You don't want to "get behind" the pain because then it's real hard to catch up to it with the medication. Keep drinking, drinking, drinking lots of water, juice, pop, whatever. You must keep your throat moist, even wake up in the night several times to drink on your first few days home.

The pain gets better the first few days, and then you have a couple of days where it gets a LOT worse, and then better again. I just don't want you to worry when the pain gets worse, and worry that something is wrong. It happens to everyone.

Get a bunch of soft foods to eat, but when my sons had theirs out, they liked to eat pretzels of all things! The salt helped the wounds feel better, and they sort of let them dissolve in their mouth so they weren't scratchy going down.

Best wishes to you!

i'm in contact that you're saying the lumps on your neck have lasted 2 years. What you're describing appears like swollen lymph nodes. the most elementary places of lymph node swelling are interior the neck, groin and underarm, although many different places are plausible. the reason behind swollen lymph nodes interior the neck are ear an infection, tonsillitis, abscessed or impacted tooth, gingivitis (swelling of the gums), mouth sores, virus, and different infections between different issues. The lymph nodes are component to the lymphatic gadget it truly is component to the immune gadget. Lymph nodes typically swell depending on an infection or sickness. each and every so often it is somewhat inaccurately suggested as "swollen glands" (lymph nodes are literally not glands; they don't secrete some thing). Viral throat infections, ear infections and colds may reason lymph nodes interior the neck to double in length. moderate boom and problem-free tenderness skill the lymph node is battling the an infection and doing a good pastime. although even as the lymph node is swollen over this kind of lengthy era of time it desires to be evaluated to ensure if the reason is because the an infection that initially led to it to swell has not thoroughly ended or there is yet an additional reason behind the swelling. Whichever is the reason your clinical specialist desires to take a closer and larger severe look on the issue. possibly in case you've been to exhibit the actual shown truth that you've had it for 2 years you should get a more advantageous in contact reaction. i wish this enables. Best decision I've ever made! I was shocked by the way of getting out the stones out. It was so easy, but more importantly, painless. I really liked the little trick he had for preventing gag reflex. He have one happy customer here.

You sound young! You will be just fine. But your feelings are very normal; surgery is scary no matter your age. I had my tonsils out when I was 17 years old and there was just one complication; I ate solid food (cornbread) too soon and that caused problems. So please follow doctor's directions for post-op, be smart, take your medication on time, and eat soft food for as long as your doctor tells you. Afterwards, you will have far fewer sore throats...it's totally worth it! And let people pamper you after surgery, too!

it is not permanent solution. If you get it out through surgery, it will not so effect, you will face the problems like tempreature etc. the best thing is to avoid the things which harm the throat like cold water, oily and chilly filled food i mean much fast food, wash your throat with warm water before sleeping. Also take warm water thorugh nose and out it from mouth but only before sleeping. It may help you much. As my many freinds has thave this problems. Some of them operated but still facing difficulties

Its an extremely common surgury with very minute risks. My advice, get ice cream and applesause for after the surgury. you'll need them. And relax. you'll be fine.

DO NOT EAT CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM AFTERWARDS!

i had my adenoids removed (a similar surgery to tonsils). i ate chocolate ice cream afterwards. threw it up on the way home. and for the first time in my life, it came out my nose as well as my mouth. so avoid that at all costs.
