This is largely a feminist myth and it's what those of that ilk would like to believe. Men are intimidated by beautiful women quite often, but not really smart ones. Few men, for example, would tremble at the thought of asking someone out because she's "smart and driven" (right, dream on, feminists).

They can be, yes. If you are smart and driven, you need also to make sure you are accessible, that you speak to people, show an interest in others, and smile a lot. Be pliable, be flexible, be fun.

Not all guys but there are women who like to repeatedly mention it to make themselves feel superior they are the ones that make it bad for other smart and driven women

That's a silly question, Silly! ;-)
Personally, I perfer a woman with a brain! Even if she is brighter than I! In fact, I married one of them! And, yup, she is smarter than I am, and I am okay with that!
We can communicate on a variety of levels. We both need a relationship with at least some form of intelligence.
While we are not 'perfect' for each other, we can communicate on a like level. I need that! She does too!
So, in short --- Intimidated? Nah!

not this one, then again i live by the "FEAR AINT AN OPTION" motto, but if a guy is intimidated by a strong, independent, intelligent woman with goals that is determined to succeed then he needs to do some soul searching and figure out why he's still in the slow lane while she's in the fast lane blowing right past and leaving him in the dust and smoke

Not usually from what i have noticed actually i have noticed in some cases the drive you have and your intellegence turns them on in a way unless your like the really wierd take your books to lunch smart...

some guys are. but they are the guys that are insecure and fear she will leave him for someone better. the same goes with some guys being intimidated by beautiful women.
