I'm 14 and in 8th grade and there's a 16 year old in 11th that I really like, and he's even told me he wants to date me but isn't sure because of the grade difference. We're basically at the same maturity level and don't date just anyone that comes along, but I still want to know.

yes, its is okay to date. But "would it work out" has nothing to do with age. That will depend on you two , how you get along, if one of you cheat or not, is there trust, is he serious about the relationship, or is he not ready to just be with one gal for a long time.
