JESUS CASTS DEVILS OUT OF THE SWINE
"Talking about the Bible, do you think it right, as Matthew 8 tells us,for Christ to drive the devils into a legion of swine, who were drowned? Matt 8:30-32 30 And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. 31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. 32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
A greater good was done by driving the swine out of the demoniac, and permitting them to enter the swine, then the death of the swine as a result of their rushing headlong into the sea.
"What became of devils that went into the swine?"
“My guess, if you want that, is that they became deviled ham”.

The demons new Jesus could send them to hell and begged. This shows us the authority of Jesus.
The swine or what was know as unclean animals were the worst thing on earth that a demon could possess or enter.
The pigs would have to die in order for the demons to be free once more so therefore the swine plunged into the sea.
Jesus did not send them to hell.
They did not become devilled ham. they were free to posses once again.
Why were the swine allowed to go free? /why were the demons allowed to posses once again or were they?

The swine were considered a dirty animal by the Jews. They would think the demons fleeing into them a hilarious joke.
Demons begging not to go to hell and offering to exit to pigs would compound the jollies.
That both swine and demons should then head for baptism - what an oink.

I don't think that the demons died when the pigs were drowned in the sea. They probably went back to their kingdom. I think it was okay for Jesus to cast the demons into the swine. He was God, He knew what He was doing.

Back to literal or symbolic. ?s 1st. Did Jewish people raise pigs? No. Was Rome occupying Israel? Yes. What were the demons named? Legion. Could he have been referring to the Roman occupying force (legion) and them being worthy of being cast into unclean animals and sent backinto the sea from which they came? Just a thought.

not out of the swine, he cast them into them. There was mad man who had devils in him and he cast them out of that man and into the swines that were there.

I think the devils never learned to swim, they lived where there was fire, not water. So they drowned.
