Why don't you try castor oil??? A tablespoon or two will surely alleviate the problem. It may not taste the best (you can take it with a little fruit juice), but it gets the job done.

If all else fails, try drinking water. I found out a while ago that the reason why a lot of us suffer from constipation, is because we're not drinking enough water. The food mass doesn't have enough liquid to pass through the intestines. And when the colon sucks out the available liquid that's in the mass (because that's where the body gets our water from food), we're up a creek.

Drink lots of water and increase your fruit and vegetable intake. Stay away from white flour products like bread and eliminate sugar from your diet as they will increase your chances of constipation. Exercise has also been shown to stimulate bowel movements. Try a nice brisk walk.

If you want something non-medicinal; drink some prune juice or eat a bran muffin. Glycerin suppositories work about 20 minutes to half an hour after inserting. If you don't mind getting horrible cramps 5 hours after you take it, get extra strength ex-lax.

I could suggest you try FiberCon for simple problems to restore regularity. For something more severe they do have suppositories they sell at your local drugstore. Peri-Colace is a gelcap you can take to help as well. If it's something that is chronic then I would consult your physician and see what he/she recommends. I would also eat a diet that is high in fiber too....
drink plenty of water too.

Whatever you do, don't take castor oil - it ties your stomach up in knots, it's horrible!
My standard issue answer - find out if you're lactose intolerant or allergic to wheat, in the meantime use more fruit and veg and use a suppository or fleet enema to empty your bowels quickly.
