I would give her $5 an hour which would be 20 dollars If your going to leave your children with a child you'll probably doing alot of checking on them yourself anyway and keep in mind she is a babysitter not a day care provider why would you give her the same salary as a licensed provider?

Depends on how old the kids, right? Young ones need a lot more attention and care, whereas older kids just need monitored to keep from being crazy. If it was three younger children, i would pay at least $4-$5 per kid per hour. But if they were relatively unneedy (esp if your daughter is her friends age, then technically she's not babysitting your daughter right?) then I would pay $2 an hour, with a tip if the kids really were happy when you came home.

Also make sure there are good snacks and activities available for her to access. It makes it easier and much more appealing to babysit in a home that has those.

commonly everybody whose career is babysitting, will fee an hourly fee. the position i'm from, it really is 3 money an hour per newborn, although counting on your community economic equipment this differs. i do not imagine it concerns that there have been 2 babysitters, because this is not neccessary to have 2 babysitters staring at actually 3 little ones. i'd supply them 3 bucks an hour for each newborn, making it 9 money an hour, and for the reason that it became 6 hours (6x9) will be $fifty 4.00. So each babysitter would get 27 bucks. you ought to do this same equation replacing 3 money/hr. to inspite of the going fee is on your community.

Well, when I baby sat, I did it for 5$ an hour per child (USA). I had a fee of 8$ an hour per child after midnight (because I would have to drive home so late). I also had a 10$ per hour pershild for "over time" which i defined as being home later than one hour after you said you where going to be home (I actually had a mother get so drunk at a party that I had to miss 3 hours of Highschool the next day because that is when she finally got home! I am so glad I had Art classes for those hours but it was very nerve racking because she didn't call me and she was not picking up her cell phone. Though I am glad she didn't drive home, I would have liked to have a heads up!)

I would say $4 per kid, per hour. So for 4 hours its $48. Sounds like a lot for 4 hours. Make your sitter happy and you will be to! I agree with what someone else said, good babysitters are hard to find! One that you like as well as your kids, not to mention one that you can trust! Good Luck!

My daughter answers the same way. Here in South Florida the going rate is I guess $10/hr. That is what most of her jobs pay. Good Luck.
Ask around to some of your other friends who pay babysitters and see if they will tell you what they pay.

Around here you'd be paying $10 - $15 an hour for three kids.

I have 3 kids as well - I can never afford to go out and pay a babysitter.

But I would say at least $40

I pay my sitter $10 per hour for one child, and $1 per hour extra for each child. They have lives too and a really great sitter is hard to find.
