If your hair is frizzy on the ends, you may need a trim to get rid of split ends. If your hair is dull you probably need to strip the hair of all the chemicals you have been adding to it. Try rinsing your hair in vinegar after you shampoo. I am sure of the style you are after, but maybe blow dry the roots only and let the ends dry on its own, this will help eliminate the frizzy ends.

My suggestion would be to use a hair product that will give you a matte finish. Any product that has a shiny/oily appearance may make your hair look more greasy than styled. Stop in at your local salon & they can help you better by looking at your hair.

try http://www.garnierfructisusa.com/ (go to style videos and you can then select which kind of hair style you want and it'll show you what product works). Remember you don't have to use garnier, you can get the idea of what gel or cream and find the same product at your local store. Good Luck!
