Can I get too much fluoride?
In general, the use of fluoride is considered safe unless it's misused or overconcentrated. Drinking excessively fluoridated water can cause dental fluorosis, a harmless cosmetic discoloring or mottling of the enamel, visible by chalky white specks and lines or pitted and brown stained enamel on developing teeth.
Avoid swallowing toothpaste, mouthrinses or other topical supplements, check with your dentist on proper dosage, and be careful not to accidentally take too much. If you are concerned about the fluoride levels in your drinking water, call the local public water department. If the source is a private well, request a fluoride content analysis taken via a water sample through your local or county health department.

No you cannot. Fluoride can make you sick and poison you in large amounts. This is also a major reason children under the age of 2 are not supposed to use fluoridated toothpaste as they have not properly learned to rinse and spit.
Secondly, why would you want to eat toothpaste?

No! Fluoride is poisonous at high doses.
5 grams of full strength sodium fluoride will kill most adult humans; a lethal dose is approximately 75 mg per kilogram of body mass. The acute toxic dose of fluoride is believed to be from 2 to 8 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.
Poisoning most commonly occurs following ingestion (accidental or intentional) of products that contain fluoride.

No, the flouride is harmful. That is why they often make toothpaste for very young children without flouride, because they can't be counted on not to eat it.
