i have moved into this house were a cat used to live and has adopted us we already have a male cat that is fixed they get along most of the time but i cant tell what the sex is of the other cat. any tips? will the two cats ever get used to each other?

Yes you're Cat will get along with the other cat it just takes a little while like Week or more because I got cats and when I got a new one they freak out but it didn't take long at all. And I don't know what too say about the sex thing But yes I have seen a cats penis!! HAHA!!!! you know what the best way to find out about the sex thing is too watch them when there cleaning themselves and see if anything comes out!! Hope you figure it out soon =D

Don't feel bad about not being able to tell the gender . I haven't had a cat since I was a kid so I am kind of a dog person. It's funny but it's tricky with dogs at times. Their fur can really make it difficult to find what you're looking for.
I think it's good to take the other cat to the vet because it could be carrying around diseases. But chances are if everything turns out all right I think the cats can learn to like each other.

If the cat has had surgery sometimes it is hard to tell a boy from a girl. But you can if you look. A girl is easy to tell. You've got to pick up the cat and lift the tail and look.Sense you already have a male cat that has been fixed then you should know how it looks there.

If its a male yourll see like 3 little balls, if its a girl you will see 2 holes. Its not that hard. But it doesnt matter just go get him/her fixed too, u would be doing something good even if you dont keep it. Male cats can get along, i used to have 2 males, but if one is fixed the other one will be more dominant, and sometimes theyll fight. Good luck! And i think its so nice of you to be taking care of that cat.

Look under the tail. On a female, the anus and vulva are close together. An intact male has big ole testicles that are hard to miss, and on a fixed male, there is a little distance between the anus and his penis. Good Luck!!

Take the new cat to a vet, for a general check-up (get the cat tested for FIV/FeLv, and make sure the cat isn't a risk to yours). While there, ask the vet to determine the sex of the cat.
