yes. it is very bad to your teeth. not only to your teeth but also to the areas around the tooth, including the sorrounding tissues. when you chew ice, it could lead to fracture of your teeth. Most of the time, it gives your teeth some fracture lines then it could lead to the complete fracture of your teeth. At the same time, chewing on ice is bad to the sorrounding tissues of your teeth because ice is very hard. so when you chew, the tissues sorrounding your teeth gives extra effort to support your teeth so that you can chew it properly. its like your giving a lot of pressure to that area.

In general: yes. But it primarily depends on the state of your teeth. If you have had previous fractures or fillings, chewing ice increases the chances of breaking a filling or tooth and requiring reconstruction. It also puts light but threatening wear on your teeth no matter what the previous condition.

Your body is most likely iron deficient.
Compulsive chewing of ice (Pagophagia) is a form of Pica eating and, as such, is not good for you. Further to that there is a compulsive disorder called :
Pagophagia is the compulsive consumption of ice.
It has been shown to respond to iron supplementation, leading some investigators to postulate that pica is the result, not the cause, of nutritional deficiency (specifically, deficiencies of iron, zinc, magnesium, and phosphorus).
Folk wisdom (and some early investigators) maintained that pica reflected a compensatory appetite.
Later research, however, has demonstrated no evidence that the substances ingested provide any nutrient or mineral in which patients are deficient.
Ice probably helps relieve some of the symptoms of low iron, including inflammation of the tongue and stomach.
Most people can be cured of pagophagia by taking iron supplements.
