How fortunate than, that it is FAR LESS important how much we love God then how much He loves us, dust mites on the bible non-withstanding.

I am not one of those, but I believe that although the Bible contains the Eternal Words of God, the Bible is not God So if you don't have access to a Bible or you don't read it anymore it does not make you a bad Christian. Jesus wants to live in our hearts, not just in the Book. The Bible is a guide for us to understand who God is and what he wants of us. But If we keep these things in our hearts then maybe we can live like true Christians. Just reading the Bible does not mean you love God; and, to not read the Bible does not mean you don't love God. If that was so there would be a lot of Blind people who don't love God. So it is ridiculous to judge a Christian's love for God by whether or not he still reads the Bible. I think reading the Bible is one of the greatest things a Christian can do, but if he does not, who are we to judge his love for God?

Just because one doesn't read the bible doesn't mean one doesn't have a love for God. Has God given us specific instructions to read the bible? Is the bible even a reliable sorce? (check out the book Misquoting Jesus...you may find it interesting)

I used to be an AG Christian who was very firm in my bible reading, daily devotions, worship, and church attendance. However, the older I got, the more I realized the reality of God. It's not about the bible. It's not about the worship or the attendance of church. It's about this simple statement; love God and acknowledge that He is your creator.

Is it right to judge others just because they have 'dust' on their bible? Isn't it stated somewhere in the bible that the only one to judge is the Lord?

No, I am one of those "Christians" who loves Chuck Misslers Bible studies and have learned so many deeper things in the word of God. Hidden meanings, idioms, Jewish roots etc.
I am studying the book of Matthew and I have read it so many times and didn't get the Parable of the Mustard Seed or the Leaven until Chuck Missler explained it's Jewish roots. I so respect men and women of God who study the scriptures and can decipher the meaning.
I also have The Power New Testament who shows you the Jewish roots from the Greek. Jesus wasn't some pansy as a lot of people think he was, he spoke with authority and had the attention of the people.

And you know where it says read your bible and you will be saved? I keep mine with me always. I use an online bible for referances for answers. I have a daily devotional but with all that Bible use I still don't think that Christians who have their bible stuck away in a place they never see aren't still Christians and children of God.... There once was a monk that went to confession and confessed as follows: "I hate the Bible, for if I loved the Bible I would be reading it every waking second as the true word of God. I don't believe in the Eucharist being truly Jesus' body and blood, for if I did, I would be there everyday to receive my Lord with utmost anticipation. I hate my fellow neighbor, for if I loved him I would give him everything that I own and only care for his happiness." I think this could teach us alot.

I know people that have never read the Bible that are more Christ-like then people that use the Bible to beat down people who have memorized SELECT passages.
