What do I do? HE is acting tired and lathargic. His ears are not perky his tail while wagging, is not his usual happy wag! When the doorbell rang, he did give a good long bark and jumped about but now he is just sad looking. Should I be worried?

I know that some human foods are dangerous for dogs, but, I don't think an orange is one of them. I never knew some dogs liked oranges. If you are truly worried, call your vet. Maybe he just has an upset tummy. But, I would call if I were you, just to be on the safe side. Good luck!

Yes you should because if you took the time to write this question you should take the time to go to the vets office. It could be because of the citrus. Or maybe the orange was rotten. Or maybe it just upset his stomach. The best thing to do is take him to a vet. Good Luck and I hope he feels better! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

No, but I bet he avoids oranges from now on. He should be better in about 24 hours. Just make sure he is hydrated. Have a nice holiday.

Oranges are a very acidic fruit, maybe just observe his behaviour for the next 24 hours, only feed him dry food and water and let him sleep it off...it may have just upset his tummy?

Check if the orange was rotten or if he ate a peel or ask the vet for allergies or maybe 1 or 2 days before you gave food directly from the microwave exp. hot steak possibly u had hot pizza and it fell and ur dog ate it burning the roof of your dogs mouth making the acid from the orange burn it even more. It hurts baaaaad it happened to me before.

He probably got an upset stomach from the citrus fruit. If you're truly concerned, take him to a vet.

if he gets sick, (diarreah) then feed him a cooked white rice and plain cooked chicken till he gets better. take him tot he vets just incase he ould be allergic or gets worse if he isnt better tomorrow. but cook up ome rice and chicken for now for him to eat since it will be easier on his stomach.

this is what my vet has always told me to do (feed them rice and chicken) for when our puppies and older dogs got diarreah. it helps. so go cook! =)

hope he feels better too
